Lorraine sat in the stands of the quidditch pitch looking up at the sky taking a in a deep breath. She hadn't talked to Joey for the past few days really they hadn't spent time together either. Lorraine had her studies to worry about as did Joey, but she was kind of sad over the fact that her and Joey really hadn't talked about her feelings and her slight fear. She really cared about him she was scared but she trusted him it was confusing to her. She did wonder if possibly it wasn't fear of getting hurt or left behind with her heartbroken but something else. But what bothered her was Joey's reaction, she wanted to know his thoughts if he believed her it wasn't that she didn't trust him she just wanted to know he was being open and honest completely if they were to be together that is one thing they needed to be.

Lorraine moved so that she was now sitting cross-legged as she closed her eyes and inhaled deeply she let her hands drop beside her as she just let herself go into meditation trying to clear her mind of everything and just finding something to bring her peace over the whole matter.

Joey finished cleaning himself off from the Herbology N.E.W.T exam, one he dishearteningly thought he'd done terrible in. All those plants and ideas just weren't easy for him to remember. He had a distinct lack of interest in the subject which is probably why.

It was over though, and he wasn't going to dwell on it. His best way of relaxing now, apart from spending time with Lorraine - a recent habit but one he found immensely satisfying - was Quidditch. So he hauled his broom out of his room and headed for the Quidditch pitch.

Thoughts of Lorraine were on his mind even before he saw her sat there, with closed eyes and a meditating look on her face. He often felt he was disturbing her, either because she was in the middle of her latest book, or looked like she was sleeping, or anything else, but that never stopped him from approaching her, which is exactly what he did then.
Perhaps because she was medatating it made her aware of what was around her what she could feel around her. Lorraine opened her eyes and saw Joey and smiled. Despite the fact she wasn't sure where they stood at the moment she was happy to see him.

"Hi."
"Hi. Are you out here enjoying the fresh air, or where you planning on taking a fly." Joey patted his broom, propping it up beside the stands.

He watched her expression, tracing warm eyes over her face. He was neither saddened nor confused anymore about the exchange of words they'd had the last time they talked, but they were still fresh in his memory.
"I was thinking, trying to find peace or understanding." Lorraine said as she moved a bit placing her feet on the bench infront of her.

"I gather you came to fly don't let me stop you if that is what you want to do." She wanted to talk about the last conversation they had. Sure they had a few hello's here and there but no real conversation. Last thing she wanted was them to drift apart.
"I came to fly, but then I saw you." Joey leaned forward, meeting her cheek with a soft kiss. He sat down next to her, leaning forward.

"And now I want to make sure you're alright."
"What makes you think I am not alright?" Lorraine said softly. She reached over and touched his hand taking in hers.
"Because of that talk we had the other day. I know we had a laugh afterwards, but I hate to think you dwelled on it later on."
"Well, it was something to think about.. and it shouldn't be dismissed like the feeling wasn't there." Lorraine softly spoke as if sje was a littl nervous to talk about it.

Lorrine was a bit sad ovr the fact that she wouldn't be living with Lily. She felt bad that she just assumed Lily an her would be living together. Yes she was invited to stay with the group but she had her reasons not to.
"So are you? Feeling alright that is?" Joey wrapped his fingers around hers, making sure he kept her hand close.
"No, not really." Lorraine said in discouraged tone, "Be honest completely honsthow do you feel what are your thoughs do you at all understand... what I had said last time we talked?"
"Of course I do. It's not like I haven't been worried about how everything is going, and what could happen. I just realise that life's going to go no matter what we do. We might as well enjoy it, and I enjoy being here. I enjoy being with you. Too many worries and fears is going to ruin anything good and pure we have. That's why I reacted in the way I did."

He stroked her hand, now holding it comfortably. He hadn't meant to upset her or make her feelings worse.
Lorraine smiled as she moved so she was laying her head in his lap and placing the hand that was holding on her bellying holing it with both hands. Letting out a sigh of relief she looked up at him, "It is funy you know, I can help my friends with their problems I want ot be a theapist.. but I can't seem to fix my own issues. Kind of ironic isn't it." Lorraine closed her eyes for a moment, "It is weird though, How can one feel safe with a person, but have fear. Maybe my fear has nothign to do with you... r us maybe it is something else. I seen stuff simlar before in other situations." Lorrane brought his hand to her lips as she kissed it.

"So, Joey what exactly are your plans after school? I don't think we really have talked to much on this subject, for whatever reason, I knwo you love quidditch but what are your plans?"
"Well you're going to have to fix your own issues. They only get in the way. Believe me, I know." Joey shrugged. They weren't going to work out as a couple if this kept getting in the way, he knew that well enough. He hadn't talked much about himself to Lorraine, and maybe he should soon.

"Anyway. I haven't thought much about it yet. All I have planned so far is sitting around at home."
Lorrane nodded slightly, "Trust me I will fix them, I won't let whatever it is ruin us." Lorraine held on to his hand and closed her eyes.

However Lorraine didn't stay down for long it kind of shocked her he hadn' planned anything. She looked at him, "Joey how can you not have anything planned? Why haven't you thought about it? I don't understand."
"I want to play Quidditch, but I'm going to have to look around for that, so until then I have to get myself a real job. As for a real job, I don't know what to do. There's nothing that really jumps out at me." Joey lazily kicked the toe of his battered shoe against the ground as he explained.
Lorraine nodded slightly, "Oh, I understand... I am sure something will come up because you are an amazing quidditch player, and if not that you are a good person and will find something." Lorraine didn't know what else to say to him.
"I guess you're right. There'll be something. I still think that sitting at home relaxing sounds lik a fair deal."
"Will your parents let you stay at home relaxing?" Lorraine tucked a loose strain of hair behind her ear. "I am thinking of working in a bar, it could be good training with what I want to do with my life."
"There's nothing they can do about it if they object. I'm happy to stay there for a while, though getting my own place appeals to me too."
"But you will need to have a job to keep the place." Lorraine said calmly but her tone went to a bit hurt, "Unless James and his little crew wants you to stay with them."

Lorraine was still little hurt she wouldn't me living with just Lily that she would be living wit James and Sirius. Sure Lily had asked her to stay but only after she made a comment about Lily and her getting a place. She tried not to be hurt bu she was just a bit.
"James hasn't said a word to me," Joey admitted, not knowing what she was talking about, so afforded himself not to ask.

"I know I need a job. And I'll get one. Just not right away, because I'm not settling for the first one that comes along."
"I don't want you to settle either." Lorraine squeezed his hand, "I am sorry if I came across that way.

"I am sure I won't find a job right away either. I am not sure where I am going to live either I can't live with my parents for ever, and Lily is moving in with James and sirius and others..."
"We're still young, we've got the world to look around before deciding on something. Something good though. I'd hate to be caught up in a job that goes nowhere and doesn't make me happy."
"That we are, and what do you really like to do besides Quidditch? Why don't you see about trying out for a team? I mean you are good enough, any team would be lucky to have you."
"There's no positions open at the moment for teams," Joey mused. "I've been keeping up to date with all the open positions, but there's nothing that jumps out at me.
