Open to any.

Remus made his way out of the hospital wing, relieved that another transformation was behind him. This one time wasn't as bad as the rest of them; in fact, each time it was getting easier and easier, thanks to his three friends no doubt. And maybe they were right. Maybe some day in the future the healers could come up with a solution for his problem, maybe he won't stay like this forever.

With the new found hope inside him, Remus felt much lighter. He smiled to himself as he took a left turn, almost bumping into one of the students.

Amelia had been meandering slowly down the hallway from the library, books piled up in her arms. She didn't have O.W.L.s or N.E.W.T.s to study for, but that didn't seem to stop the professors from burying the sixth years in assignments. With a small sound of strain, she stopped and readjusted the books, then turned the corner.

"Aah!" Amelia exclaimed, nearly bumping into Remus and dropping a few of her books as she swerved herself out of the way. Sighing, she knelt down and began to pick them up. '1,000 Magical and Monstrous (And Possibly Man-Eating) Plants', 'The History of Muggle Politics', and 'Animal to Object Transfigurations', among others. "Darn it," she muttered.

When she had finished picking them up, she stood again and smiled at Remus. "Sorry about that. I wasn't paying attention to my own steps."
"I should be the one apologizing." Remus said quickly, watching her closely to see if she's okay. "I'm terribly sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Are you alright?"
Amelia shook her head and laughed a bit. "No, don't worry, I'm fine," she reassured him. "Really, it's my fault. I was thinking more about my books than where I was going."
"Would you like me to carry some of them for you? They seem really heavy." He offered with a smile, recognizing her as one of the Ravenclaws.
Amelia was uncertain at first, not wanting to come off wrong, but eventually her better sense--and tired arms--outweighed her concerns. She smiled at Remus and nodded. "That'd be very nice of you...Remus, was it?" she asked. She had seen him around the castle before, but never formally met him.
"Yes, Remus Lupin. Glad to meet you Miss Bones." He was a prefect, and he felt like it was his job to know students' names, just in case. He gave her a small grin, and took the books off her hand. "Where to?"
It was at that time that Amelia noticed the gleaming prefect badge on the Gryffindor's chest. Yes! That's where she'd seen him before! At the Prefect meetings... she knew he was more familiar than she had originally thought. "Call me Amelia," she said. "And I was on my way back up to the Ravenclaw common room. You know where that is, I presume?"
"I had the chance of visiting there once, last year." He started walking alongside her, holding the books with ease. "Studying for the weekend?"
She nodded. "Yes... I'm afraid that I've been letting myself slide lately. I'm personally disgusted that I've allowed myself to get tired because it's the end of the year!" she explained. "So I'm planning on completely catching up while I still have time."

Amelia cocked her head so she could look up at him. "What about you? How is studying for the N.E.W.T.s going?"
"Don't be too hard on yourself. Sixth year is somewhat of a break, between OWLs and NEWTs, so rest while you still can." He shifted the books in his hands and sighed. "It's not fun, I can tell you that. But it will be over, eventually."
"Just like all things, it will pass... That's good to go by," she said with a smile. "Probably keeps you more sane than most. I can't wait to see what the people in my house will do next year. Chaos, it'll be. Notes and books everywhere," Amelia laughed a little at the mental picture.

"Do you want me to carry some?" she asked, seeing him shift the books.
Remus watched her as she talked, silently agreeing with her words. Knowing that there was an end, that that things weren't going to last forever certainly brought him comfort. He needed to believe that he won't have to stay the way he is for eternity.

"Not at all, they're not too heavy."
"Alright, then. You're definately stronger than me."

They walked down the hallway and passed the Great Hall, very few students littering the corridors. Most were in their common rooms. "You're very kind, for carrying my books for me. Quite a gentleman," she said with a tiny smirk. "I appreciate to see that, as it's rare in people anymore."
"I don't mind helping out a fellow student." He replied with a shy grin, keeping his eyes ahead. He wasn't too good with getting compliments, unlike Sirius or James. As much as he tried to learn from them, he still felt miles behind.

"It's not that it's rare, people are just too busy these days. Perhaps you'll see more of this once the exams are over."
"Either way, there's not nearly enough of it," she said, noticing his shyness. He was a lot different from his friends in that respect, that was for sure. Remus Lupin certainly seemed a different brand of person than most that she had come to know.

"Anyway, even if people are more kind when they aren't busy, it shows something when you are and still care to help."
"Then again, you might have been bumping into the wrong sorts of people most of the time, or something of that sort." He insisted on the fact that he wasn't the only one willing to help, because agreeing with her would be admitting that he was special, and he didn't believe he was special. Not that way.

He looked down at the cover of the first book in the stack, lifting a curious eyebrow.
Amelia laughed. "Why are you so afraid to accept that you're a good person?" she asked, confused and amused at the same time. "It's far from being a bad thing, you know."

With a short smile at him, she turned her head down to watch her feet as she walked.
The grin was back on, and with a little blush this time. "I've never said it's a bad thing. And thank you, I suppose."

"So do you have any plans for the summer?" He was desperate to change the subject.
Amelia heard the desparity to get off the topic lingering in his voice, so she decided to be nice and comply. There was something that was amusing about seeing him blush, something that made him look almost...cute? Nah, it wasn't that, she didn't think. Who knew?

But she had embarrassed him enough.

"Nothing in particular, but my brother and his wife, whom I live with, are going on holiday for a while so I'll be babysitting a lot," she said. "You?"
"Kids are fun, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time. And I suppose I'll start looking for a job as soon as I graduate." He turned to watch her for a moment, before looking ahead again.
"I agree. My neice is adorable and I'll be happy to spend time with her after so long away from her," she concurred.

"A job, huh? What are you looking at doing for a living?"
Ah, that question again. Remus tried his best not to look upset, and he did manage that. After all that practicing, it was bound to work.

"I'm thinking a historical researcher, or something that involves a lot of time in libraries filled with the scent of old books. I love books."
"With that kind of job, you should have been in Ravenclaw," she commented. "I'd originally thought you'd aspire to be an Auror like your friends...but you aren't the same as Sirius and James, are you?" Amelia smiled. "Don't know how you manage it... Anyway, I like that. Sounds like something I'd like to do."
"You reckon the sorting hat misplaced me? And sadly, no, I'm not exactly like them." Even though he was aching inside, he was smiling at her.

"Hmm, I think it's still early for you to decide, you might change your mind a couple of times throughout your seventh year."
Amelia arched an eyebrow suspiciously at him. He didn't sound like he was as happy as he looked. He may have been hiding it well, but she could tell a fake smile from a hundred miles away. They walked in silence for a moment, wondering how imposing she would sound if she inquired.

"What's the matter?" she finally got up the courage to ask.
